We are in the month of March and that means two things, March is the month that starts the MLB season (Major League Baseball) and also means a new MLB The Show 19, which in this case Sony gives us the version of the game for the present year 2019. MLB The Show 19 has always been characterized in providing a rich and realistic gameplay, every year that passes we always ask the same question Is it worth changing to the next installment? As a big MLB fan I always go to the next game without caring about many things, although I can mention that San Diego Studio does an excellent job to make those people who hesitate to move on to the next game, do it without fear.
Road To The Show is one of my favorite modes of the game, since you can create your MLB 19 Stubs as a player from scratch, starting in the minor leagues until you get to belong to the team of your dreams and even get to belong to the hall of fame. In MLB The Show 19, they have added some new features and modified others to offer a better version of the mode. One of the things that I liked most about the game is that they included what nationality you can choose for your player, in my case, it is obvious that I am a Dominican because I selected my country of origin Dominican Republic! As you can see in the picture, it includes the flag of your country in your bedroom, a great detail!
You can also select what kind of attributes you want your player to have, for example in my case select Pure Power where my player will have the attributes of the players Giancarlo Stanton (Yankees) and Jay Buhner (Seattle) getting in their pure power, although low performance in base run and contact with the ball for hit searches in the field. As my player always do first base, these attributes fit a lot with him, since the first bases are always pure power and do not need some attributes to steal bases or simply to be fast at the time of the run of bases.
This year they have added a new feature that has to do with the growth of personality and relationships. Basically, this is a very important point in this mode, because however good you are on the ground, it will not be the only thing that determines how good a player you will be. This helps establish the personality of your player's wardrobe depending on how you interact with others. You can select if you are a Lightning Rod, Maverick, Captain or the Heart And Soul of the team. As you level up in each personality and relationship tree, you unlock advantages and increase them as well. All the benefits align with your role in team dynamics. In my case, because I was selecting a lot to be a captain, in conversations with my teammates, I did not earn much reputation because they called me haughty.
Once you finally create the MLB The Show 19 Stubs of your player, you must go through several tests to see what is your potential to be able to enter the MLB draff selection. something that I really liked is that in the previous games although we selected a team of preference you were not necessarily selected by that team to play in the minor leagues, but now in MLB The Show 19 that happens! In my case, as my favorite team is the New York Yankees, I was selected by them in the draff. Obviously, it is not to immediately go to the big leagues I had to play with the team of AA Trenton Thunder.
