Dexter Lawrence is a "big dude," and it's no joke coming from the mouth of 6-foot-8, 350-pound offensive tackle Amarius Mims. The traded Lawrence to the Bengals in exchange for a No. 10 pick in the 2026 NFL draft. The Bengals took no time to extend the nose tackle to a one-year, $28 million extension, therefore keeping the 6-foot-2, 342-pound dude with them through the 2028 season. On Monday, Mims met Lawrence for the first time in person and he was shocked to witne s the ma sive frame. Mims is glad he no longer has to face Lawrence rushing through the Bengals' offensive lines, saying he'd rather be his teammate. So I met him last night, we went to dinner last night, and I just shook his hand," Mims told reporters. "And Im like, Im a big https://www.sf49ershome.com/collections/…ersey dude. So I shake his hand, Im like, all right, big guy shakes hand, kind of bring it in. I went backwards, and he just stood there. Im like, man, all right, hes a dude too. So Im like, man, like I said, Im happy hes here, Im glad hes our teammate. "And like I said, I feel worse for the opposing offensive lines than for us. Like I said, weve got to practice against him, dont get me wrong, so he can do some damage there. But like I said, Id much rather have him as my teammate than go against him. So like I said, Im happy hes here, and were all excited about it. Were just trying to get better every day until the season starts. So lets get to work.
